Dr Robert Gilbert Obituary: The spiritual science and sacred geometry community lost a great teacher and innovator, Dr. Robert J. Gilbert, on February 10, 2025, when he died peacefully surrounded by his long-time partner, Jennifer Barnds. His death is a devastating loss to the community he created and the numerous people who were enlightened by his work.
Dr. Gilbert’s was a path of inquiring mind, spiritual searching, and unquenchable dedication. From his early life as a Marine to his immersion in esoteric sciences, he functioned in many capacities—scholar, scientist, teacher, mentor. His unique ability to blend ancient insight and contemporary insight created him as an independent thinker.
Jennifer Barnds, Vesica Institute Director, offered a moving testimonial “He was truly a ‘man for all seasons.’ In a world that was so frequently dark, Robert was a ray of light, bearing the light of the Archangel Michael in a way only he could. His work will go on to inspire and guide generations to come.”
She also ensured that his legacy would not die, as he had carefully planned the continuation of his projects, including TRAC—Temple of The Rose and Chalice, a nonprofit institution he had conceived.
